For my next guest tutor workshop I'm excited to welcome Michaela from Blue Stiggy to share the art of making coptic bound notebook, journal or sketchbook. 

Coptic binding is the most ancient of bindings and is characterised by visible stitching forming rows of chain stitch across the spine.

Choose from a fabulous selection of cover papers and create your book with paper made from recycled materials and textile industry waste along with traditional linen thread.  

The workshop starts at 2pm and lasts approximately 3.5 hours.  No prior experience is necessary and you will leave with your unique handstitched notebook and knowledge of an ancient craft which could become your next craft obsession. 

Please note, number8glass workshop vouchers cannot be used to book a place on a guest tutor workshop.
